A Word from the Chairman of the Board of Directors

Building families is our objective at New United Neighbors Developmental Child Care Center, and we begin with quality childcare that includes a safe environment with good supervision by our staff for the child.  We desire to build a partnership with parents through regular, consistent participation of the entire family in the child’s learning experience.Because we have an open-door policy, we welcome parental visits at all times.  We are cognizant that we have an important part in shaping the outcome of each child’s future that attends this school.

New United Neighbors Developmental Child Care Center has a nurturing environment that provides supportive social services to empower the family by having the opportunities for positive input in their preschooler’s education.  It is our desire to strengthen families by strengthening individual members of the family through education, interaction, participation, and growth through change.

We take into consideration the stress and difficulty that working parents are under, realizing that they are no less concerned and involved in the welfare, learning and education of their children.  We seek to less the concerns that accompany working parents by having an open, flexible, and expanded schedule from which parents and caregivers may choose.

We compliment and support the educational goals of you, the parents.  Our task is to supplement and expand the caregiver by the parents and not usurp the parent’s role in rearing the child.  We believe that mothers are the best providers for their children in the early years; therefore, our task is to help parents through programs, curriculum, and a healthy stimulating learning environment.  This education setting is age appropriate, and individually appropriate for early learners.

We provide positive options for working parents who can pursue their personal objectives with peace of mind knowing that their little one is in a healthy, wholesome, learning environment.  As respect for parents and their role in their child’s care and education is essential for a good successful long-term relationship between you and the Child Care Center.

We are aware that young children learn from interaction with their environment through the senses:  taste, touch, hearing, sight, and smell; therefore, we seek to provide an educationally stimulating, pleasant, progressive, safe and sanitary learning setting.

It is our objective ensure the experience of each child that attends the Child Care Center to be a meaningful and beneficial one.  This will be the result of our hard working, qualified, and dedicated staff that always has the welfare and concern of your child, first, and foremost.

Sincerely,

Dr. Robert C. Jiggetts, Jr.
